My First Haircut

Ok...so I cried...a little. What do you want from me...mommy always acts all sweet and happy right before she does something I don't like. I KNEW I wasn't going to like this...but it really turned out to be not that bad.

Mommy and Daddy took me to "SNIPITS"-a place where they cut hair for kids. There were tons and tons of kids around, and tons and tons of toys on the floor. (Mommy said it was her version of hell, but I LOVED IT!)

Daddy was cool. He was wearing his new glasses and got checked out by a lady who looked like Kate Gosselin. Mommy thought it was funny. I think it was because I am so cute that I help dad get the chicks. Anyway, Daddy and I played for a while and then one of the men who worked there became my new buddy and played with me, too. Then, they put me in a chair HIGH up off the ground and put the cape on me...that's when I got nervous.

The haircut actually felt good! The lady was so nice, and she had so many toys for me to play with...I almost feel bad that I threw her big green plastic scissors on the floor in a fit of rage. I hope she forgives me...I didn't mean to be rude-I was just freaked out a little...like Mommy is at the dentist...or like Daddy is when the Flyers lose. Of course, Mommy cried. What a drama queen. Oh, I cried, too. Nevermind...

After my haircut, they gave mommy a piece of my hair as a keepsake, and the gave me some of my hair that she cut to throw into a machine...and then the machine spit out a present for me!
I can't wait to grow more hair to give to the machine again. I got a rubber ducky...a cowboy rubber ducky! I LOVE rubber duckies!!!! I take a bath in a big yellow ducky, and play with a green one, a yellow one, and a Leprechaun ducky...now I can add cowboy ducky to the list.

After my haircut, Mommy and Daddy took me to Sears, where we looked at lawn mower parts (really cool) and then we went for Chinese Food-I really like Chinese rice with a little sweet n sour sauce on it. I also like the donuts! I ate mostly baby goldfish, tho...and Pedialyte.

After that, we went home and Mommy and Daddy put me to bed. I was sooooo tired! It was a big day for me.

Nanny's Birthday

I wanted to write something about my Nanny. She had a birthday the other day. I love her soooo much that I let mommy put on my sailor suit for her party-that's how much I love her. She is cuddly and warm, and she smells like cookies...and she holds me "just so".

Here's a picture of her when she was opening her gifts-which was a picture of all of her 10 grandchildren! (She always tears up when she gets one of these.)

I let Nanny put a pink ribbon on my head (see how much I love her?!)

And then I played with Nanny!

And then I started to get tired, so I hung out with Uncle Ray a little...

And then he brought me into the "Man Cave" (the kitchen) so I could hang out with the guys...

And last, I got Uncle Greg a drink and he played with me....

It was a great day!

"I yam what I yam"

I ALLOWED mommy to do this...ONCE. Hope she enjoyed herself! I guess I should thank my cousin Patsy, who gave mommy this outfit.

Mommy has a photo from 1929 of HER mommy in a chair, just like this.

Mommy went back to work.

Things are a lot better since mommy went to work! She's so happy now that she gets to play with some grownups and she's so excited when she comes home to me, that I really enjoy it! Sometimes, she even works from home and keeps me home from school. Here's a picture of me helping her work.

We ARE!
